blog 61: stories

1. When I was really young and in pre-school, like every other kid, I loved recess. Every day all the kids would sprint outside to get a ball or bike or whatever else they wanted. There were a lot of kids and not enough things for everyone so it was a mad dash to get out there and get them. Well one day, I decided that I was going to be in the front of the line that way I would be sure that I would be able to get outside fastest and get what I wanted. When they teacher opened the door, I sprinted outside and almost got a bike when suddenly I felt a push. Someone had pushed me from behind and I fell to the ground. When I was little I had to wear glasses and somehow when I fell, the glasses got shoved up and the right side got shoved into my skin right where my eye brow is. I had a huge gash and ended up having to get stitches.
2. Two summers ago when I turned 18, a few friends of mine were bored during the day and decided to go get lottery tickets. We ended up all pitching in and buying 5 of them. On the first four we didn’t win anything more than a few dollars but on the 5th one, we scratched it off and ended up winning $5,000. We couldn’t believe what happened. We went back in, cashed it and split it up between all of us. We were all pretty happy.
3. One time my family and I went on a cruise in the Caribbean. One place that the cruise went to was Costa Rica. I ended up getting to go zip lining in the rain forest there. It was really cool to be able to do that.
